THERE was a spectacular party at Hanbury C of E First School to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
The school’s 110 children dressed in red, white and blue for the occasion and made lanterns, bunting and flags to decorate the marquee with.
After eating their way through sandwiches, ice-lollies and specially made cakes some of the children laid on entertainment in the form of country dancing and singing.
Headteacher Andrew Payne said: “At Hanbury First School we feel it is important for the children to mark major events like this and understand why we do it.
“We all had a fabulous day and it is one of the reasons pupils have so many happy memories of their time at Hanbury First School.”
