A NUMBER of road closures will be in place across Bromsgrove this weekend in order for Remembrance service parades to go ahead.
Councillor Richard Morris, Chairman of the Worcestershire Armed Forces Partnership, said: “It is vitally important that the county can come together and take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.
“During my tenure as chair, we will continue to do all we can to reflect, raise awareness and support those in the Armed Forces community in Worcestershire and build on the fantastic work already being done.
“This programme of parades is a great example of this.”
The road closures are as follows:
- Ombersley and Doverdale Remembrance Day Parade (November 12)
A4133 Main Road, 10:30am – 11:30am. Road will be re-opened as soon as parade progresses.
- Droitwich Remembrance Day Parade (November 12)
The parade starts at 10.40 along Ombersley Street East into Victoria Square by 10:50, Service in Victoria Square until 11:20am. Roads will be closed from 10:30am – 11:30am.
