Road in Droitwich is shut after three people are rescued from car stuck in floodwaters

THREE people were rescued from a car in Droitwich which fell victim to floodwaters.

The car became stranded in the deep water at Green Lane earlier today.

Firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, a West Midlands Ambulance crew, South Worcesterhire Police officers and police dogs took part in the rescue.

Green Lane has now been closed and the police have warned motorists not to take risks in floodwaters.
