Road tax discs go paperless from today

Droitwich Editorial 1st Oct, 2014 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

MOTORISTS in Bromsgrove and Droitwich no longer have to display their tax disc.

New rules came into place on Wednesday (October 1) which mean while drivers must still have valid car tax, they will not need to show a paper disc on their front windscreen. Instead the DVLA will rely on digital records to issue fines to those driving illegally.

The DVLA will send out reminders to motorists when their tax is due to be renewed.
