AN OPEN day is being held at Stoke Prior Crown Green Bowling Club as it strives to welcome new members.
The event will take place from 12pm to 3pm next Sunday, April 16, at the Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club, Westonhall Road, where the club is based.
Men and women of all ages – whether they have played before or are new to the sport – are welcome to attend and members will be on-hand to offer advice and coaching.
Crown green bowling is quite informal and thought to be more challenging than lawn or flat green bowls.
Members play in competitive leagues and cup competitions though several play just socially with a popular and well-stocked bar available at the club.
