RESIDENTS can experience The Royal Opera’s new production of Musorgsky’s Boris Godunov conducted by Antonia Pappano which is coming to the big screen at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre.
The performance, which tells the story of the Russian Tsar who came to power by murdering the nine-year old Dmitry, heir to the throne, can be seen on March 21 at 7.15pm.
The tale is one of conscience and oppression and the story is told through a series of hallucinations, in an unidentified era, allowing the dark political themes to run through the story.
Boris Godunov, one of the greatest and most complex bass-baritone roles, is played by the talented Bryn Terfel.
