A SCHOOL in Droitwich have shared their thanks to a local estate agency for donating a small sum of money to improve pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
The firm, Nicol & Co, have donated £100 to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School which will spent on developing a sensory room for the educational establishment.
James Brett, teacher and early years lead, told the Standard the money was spent on purchasing fidget toys, lights, a projector, and emotions cuddly toys.
Emotions cuddly toys are designed from a book called The Colour Monster, with each one representing a feeling. The toys help children to learn about and identift feelings of anger, hapiness, or anger for example.
The deputy safeguarding lead added the sensory room allows children to have a quiet area to spend time in.
James said: “A huge thanks to Nicol & Co for kindly donating money towards our project. We really appreciate the community support they provide and our children will hugely benefit from this.”
