Snow latest - Public transport disruption and school closures set for tomorrow (Monday)

Droitwich Editorial 10th Dec, 2017   0

THERE could be more travel disruption for residents in Droitwich on the morning commute tomorrow.

West Midlands Railway is advising passengers to check before they travel to see if the services they are due to get are running.

The company is hoping to run a full service as much as possible but further snowfall which is expected to last until around 4am and freezing temperatures could make road access to stations and depots difficult.

With regard to the buses there is no news yet on which services will or will not be running tomorrow morning (Monday). Both First Worcestershire and National Express West Midlands suspended their services throughout Sunday.

Several schools in Droitwich have announced they will be shutting.

Among them are Chawson Community First School, Cutnall Green CE First School, Droitwich Spa High School and Sixth-Form, Hanbury First School, Hindlip CE First School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, St Peter’s CE Academy and Sytchampton Endowed Primary School.
