DROITWICH High Street has had a splash of colour added to it with a stunning A-board created by local artist Sophie Chadwick, celebrating the town’s history and businesses.
Sophie, aka Sleep Sparrow, was commissioned to create the artwork on the old A-board outside the Droitwich Coffee Culture and Roastery.
The artwork is one of the first steps taken by the new Droitwich Business Association (DBA) to get the town economy booming.
Having seen her previous work, the coffee shop owner and DBA co-chair John Hamilton asked Sophie, his former employee, if she wanted to help with the project.
Sophie said: “I love Droitwich – it’s so pretty and old-fashioned with its Tudor buildings, you almost feel like you’ve stepped back in time.
“There are so many iconic buildings and it has a rich history of Salt production so I really wanted to tap into that while making the A-board colourful and eye-catching.
“Hopefully, it’s caught a few eyes and shone a light on this wonderful town.”
