DROITWICH star Abby Inez is taking the world by storm with one of her songs now featuring on the new film ‘The Journey’.

The singer-songwriter will be attending the premier of the film, directed by Lance Steen Anthony Nielson, in London’s Leicester Square on Thursday (November 27).

Abby was asked to perform the title track for the last scene of the film after she was heard performing on the Forum Live Stage at the LG Arena, supporting Katie Perry and Dolly Parton.

The film, which stars actors like Jason Flemyng from X-Men: First Class and Snatch, will then go on to be showcased in several major film festivals around the world.

Abby said: “I was so excited someone asked me to feature in their film.

“I was really nervous to see if he (Lance Nielson) would like it because he had a real vision of what he wanted it to be and I am happy I could do that for him because he had taken a personal approach to the film.”

As well as this Abby has also announced new tour dates supporting co-headliners Decca Records’ The Shires and Ward Thomas.

She will be stopping off at Pocklington Arts Centre, in York, on Saturday (November 22) before taking to the stage again on Wednesday (November 26) at The Rescue Rooms, in Nottingham.

Fans have also been invited to download Abby’s song Tennessee Stars after her debut video catapulted her online fan-base to new heights.

Abby promised her fans she would give the track away for free if more than 300 people subscribed to it.

Over the summer Abby has appeared on ITV news, in The Daily Star, The Daily Express and even Cosmopolitan Magazine.

She has also made a number of festival appearances including the UK’s Fort San Antone, The Wireless Festival, Upton Sunshine festival, Minifest 2014, the 4 Shires Festival and E4L.

Abby said: “I wanted to take a gap year to travel and develop my music.

“After I came back from Tennessee everything just spiralled from there.

“I have done way more than I ever thought I would do and it has been so exciting.”
