MEMBERS of SPArkles WI had a splashing time when they were given an exclusive visit to Droitwich Lido.
The group does not usually meet in August but this was too good an opportunity to turn down.
During their trip the women learnt about the history of the Lido.
President Karen Philpott, who took her grandson along, said: “This was a perfect chance to find out about this jewel in Droitwich’s crown and to use it.
“Even though the weather was a tad chillier than we wanted, we braved it and took to the waters.
“It was lovely to get-together.”
