DROITWICH residents wanting to give hockey a go can head to a special event being held in the town next Saturday (September 12).

Hockey Fest will take place at Droitwich Spa Hockey Club, Salwarpe Valley Pavillion, Westlands Way, to celebrate the teams’ new pitch and the forthcoming start of the new season.

Junior sessions will take place from midday and seniors at 1.30pm when there will be a game until 3pm.

It may go on longer than that, depending on how many people want to play.

As well as those activities, there will also be games, a raffle, a disco and food, including a barbecue.

The event, being held in conjunction with England Hockey, is scheduled to go on until 4pm.
