A BOOK sale is being held by Specsavers in St Andrews Square to raise funds for Droitwich Spa High School’s library.
The sale, which takes place between now and International Literary Day on September 8, will also be used to promote the importance of good vision for activities, such as reading.
The store is urging residents to donate their unwanted books to help the high school improve its library.
Store director Emma Singh said: “The summer months are often associated with a good read – weather that’s a novel on the beach, a children’s book to keep the little ones entertained, or some research ahead of the new school or university term.
“So, we thought this was a simple way to help people pick up a book and get reading while raising money for the local school’s library.”
