WORKERS from Droitwich Specsavers have raised £574 for the town’s Community First Responders.

The team from Salters shopping centre is continuing to raise cash for the voluntary service which provides emergency treatment and support to patients before an ambulance crew arrives.

So far, fundraising activities have included a mud run, raffles, a sweet treat lucky dip and more.

Emma Singh, Specsavers store director, said: “As ever, we’ve been bowled over by the support from the community and are delighted to have raised more than £500 to date.

“We’re continuing to fundraise for this vital service and hoping to boost the total even further.

“Working in partnership with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the CFR provides life-saving services across the area.

“The authorised volunteers give up their time to help others, so we wanted to do our bit to support them.”
