PUPILS from St Peter’s C of E Academy in Droitwich have created their own Poppy Trail to commemorate the Armistice centenary.
The children made poppies using a variety of materials for the trail which begins in the school reception, runs through the library and ends in the main hall.
The display will continue to be added to in preparation for the school’s two minute silence which will be held today.
Teacher Caroline Sims, the school’s Key Stage One phase leader who co-ordinated the project, said:
“Everyone has made a huge amount of effort with their poppy creations.
“The imagination and variety of ideas the children have come up with is remarkable.
“Each and every poppy is as individual as the child that created it – it’s a wonderful way to remember our brave service men and women, past and present.”
