STAFF at Droitwich-based Fish4Dogs have been learning lifesaving skills so they can come to their pet’s aid in the event of a medical emergency, writes Kate Duffy.
The First Aid for Dogs session was run by Dignipets, a mobile veterinary practice in the Midlands.
It covered essential skills including heat stroke and tick removal as well as emergency treatment such as how to give a dog CPR.
The team practised on their own dogs and soft toys during the session which was led by Samantha Flavell, Cert VN ECC.
She said: “The training session at Fish4Dogs was such a positive opportunity and provided members of the team with essential skills that can be applied should the need arise.”
Jill Aston, Fish4Dogs customer service advisor, said: “With so many of us owning dogs and with up to 12 dogs regularly in the office we wanted to bring our skills up with specialist input.”
