YOUNGSTERS from Witton Middle School had a revolting day but in a good way when Roald Dahl’s magical character Matilda from the Tim Minchin musical dropped by.
The Musical Theatre Workshop was put on for the 50 children by The Star Project which led them in learning dance routines and songs, including ‘When I Grow Up’ and ‘Revolting Children’.
Participants then got to perform their show at the end of the day to the rest of the school.
This is not the first time Witton Middle School has had a visit from a well known character thanks to The Star Project – Marry Poppins landed there last summer.
Sessions by The Star Project Theatre School run between 4.30pm and 7.30pm every Monday at Droitwich Methodist Church and is currently looking for more children interested in developing their singing, dancing and acting skills on a weekly basis.
The Star Project will also be offering Matilda and Mary Poppins workshops to schools in the area which want to bring a bit of magic and imagination into their school day.
