DROITWICH residents have been invited to enjoy a strawberry tea to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War and to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

The afternoon has been organised by the Droitwich Spa Area Forum For Older People (DSAFFOP) and will take place between 2pm and 4pm on Monday (August 4) at the Tea Cups Café, Gurneys Lane.

Visitors will be able to enjoy entertainment from 1940s’ crooner Keven Mac, will be invited to take part in a raffle and will be able to browse a special sales table.

The money raised will go towards helping former service personnel members and their dependants.

Jill Edwards, DSAFFOP’s chairman, said: “We hope as many people as possible will come and support our fund-raising efforts for the Royal British Legion.”

Residents will be able to buy strawberry tea for £3.50.
