A MOTORIST has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash in Wychbold.
Officers from West Mercia Police were called to the collision on A38 Worcester Road at Wychbold in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Police received a report from West Midlands Ambulance Service around 12.10am requesting police assistance following a single-vehicle collision.
The car, a Ford Fiesta, was travelling along the A38 from the direction of Droitwich. It then left the carriageway and collided with a post.
The driver was out of the vehicle on police arrival and was then arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Shortly after the arrest, the 33-year-old man became unwell and was taken straight to hospital where he remains and is undergoing treatment.
No one else was involved in the collision.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision or to the moments leading up to the incident.
