SWDP consultation deadline extended to have your say

Droitwich Editorial 18th Dec, 2022   0

CONSULTATION on the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) has been extended after a misprint.

A formatting issue in the Spatial Development Strategy and Settlement Hierarchy section caused a misalignment of a table and an incorrect total figure.

The council said the misprints did not fundamentally change the content or proposals in the plan, and most people have viewed the plan online, which is correct and not affected by the misprint.

The last day to submit comments was Tuesday but that has now been moved to December 23.

Coun David Harrison, chairman of the South Worcestershire Development Plan Joint Advisory Panel, said: “This is a minor issue that won’t have affected the majority of people who viewed and responded to the plan.

“But having identified there is a problem, it’s right we extend the consultation.”

After the consultation, all comments will be passed on to the Planning Inspectorate and then go for examination.

Visit swdevelopmentplan.org/review to comment online.

Paper copies, including the correction, are also available from Customer Contact Centres, local libraries and some parish and town council offices.
