THE FUNERAL of much-loved Wychbold Fudge co-founder Helga Peeters will take place at 11am this Thursday, August 22, at the village’s St Mary de Wyche Church.
Attendees are being urged not to wear black and come dressed as brightly as they feel comfortable.
Helga’s husband Justin said: “We want a sea of colour.”
The family have requested not to send flowers but people will be able to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support on the day if they want to.
“If people wish to have a single flower to throw onto Helga’s coffin as it passes or when it is placed in the ground that is fine.”
Justin thanked everyone for their support since Helga passed away on August 5 after her brave cancer battle.
He added: “Everyone has been amazing. The responses from people on social media have been wonderful – I’ve sat with the children and we’ve been reading them together.
“It’s been a huge source of comfort and strength to hear how loved Helga was and how many people’s lives she touched.”
