A FREE outdoor cinema screening of The Greatest Showman will kickstart this year’s family-friendly festival at Bromsgrove’s Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club.
The screening of the PG-rated feelgood film starts at 9.15pm – just after sunset – on Friday, August 4.
Visitors are urged to take along their own blankets and chairs – food and drink will be available to buy.
Then on the Saturday, August 5, the second Priorfest will continue with seven live music acts with additional entertainment for children, such as a bouncy castle and fun zone.
Local vendors will be serving a variety of food including burgers and hot dogs, classic American food, desserts and pick ‘n’ mix sweets.
The indoor and outdoor club bars will help keep everyone refreshed.
Among the talented line up will be Dan Hunt who opens up the music stage at 12.30pm with a mix of rock, pop, soul and motown.
Other acts will include will open the The Lisa Voleta band, The Lady and The Sax, The Wedding Crashers, Ska-Waddy, and The Melody Mias (Abba tribute band).
Party Popperz will close the festival with its sounds from the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
Camping is available (by prior arrangement) for the full festival experience.
Organiser James Maycroft said: “We’ve developed Priorfest to be suitable for all ages, so everyone can join in the fun.
“However, we appreciate finances may be tight for some families so our film screening on the Friday night is free of charge and all are welcome to come along.”
Advance tickets for Priorfest are available to buy from the bar at Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club, costing £11 for adults, £6 for children and £30 for a family of two adults and two children.
Tickets on the gate on the day will be £13, £8 or £32.
