A SOCIALLY distanced three-day Vines Park Community Market will replace Salt Fest this year, taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (September 4 to 6).
The event will be limited to 50 stalls and the emphasis will be placed on families and couples, visiting bespoke food trailers to eat locally produced delights in the park.
Picnic packages will also be on offer.
Salt Fest – to celebrate Droitwich’s brine heritage – usually takes place every September and last year a new-look Salt Fest was launched.
This year there was due to be a celebration of Britain’s motoring heritage but the pandemic put paid to the plans.
The organisers, including Simon Berry, landlord of the Gardeners Arms, wanted to ensure something took place so has planned the community market.
The Gardeners Arms will be providing the pop-up bar at the event and artist Rosie Philpott, famous for her ‘Wonky Droitwich’ pictures will be unveiling three new paintings on her stall.
The market takes place between midday and 10pm next Friday, from 10am to 10.30pm next Saturday and between 10am and 6pm next Sunday.
Admission is free.
