THE DROITWICH United Charities have given a pre-Christmas funding boost to three good causes.

The town’s Foodbank, Salvation Army and Droitwich AED have all benefited from the donations.

Droitwich United Charities Chairman, Coun Richard Morris said: “The charity aims to make provision of small grants to individuals and organisations within the boundaries of Droitwich Spa, essentially supporting those who struggle to exist in everyday life.

“The charity is an amalgamation of a number of trusts set up some time ago and is managed by a group of trustees.

“The charity is a great way to support people in Droitwich in the past we have donated to nursing homes, victims of flooding, school uniforms for those less able to pay, providing disabled equipment to name a few.

“The Foodbank and Salvation Army do a massive amount of good in Droitwich across all ages but especially helping those in need and we have supported the annual maintenance of the defibrillators outside the Spa Medical practice.”
