Town hairdresser Rebecca relocates her salon to the Droitwich building where she trained

A WOMAN who started out as a hairdresser in Droitwich’s historic Hereford House building 16 years ago has relocated her salon to the same building after expanding her business.

Rebecca Rawlings then worked at a salon in Worcester before opening her own ‘Hairloom’ salon in the High Street.

The devastating floods of 2007 meant she had to move from there so she set up shop in Queen Street before returning to where it all started – at Hereford House.

She said: “It was a bit strange to be back but lovely – I would come down to the ground floor to pick up the milk to make tea for the other hairdressers and clients.

“I have been up to look at the first floor which is now being turned into three flats.”

And Rebecca said she had been given a fantastic reception by the surrounding businesses.

“I knew a lot of them from when I was a trainee and many have said it is nice to have me back.

“It would be great if some of my clients could visit the other businesses here when they visit.”

On Saturday a fizz and mince pie reception was held to herald Rebecca’s return.
