TRAVEL ALERT - Train timetable changes on the way for Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester and Malvern

Droitwich Editorial 8th Dec, 2024   0

RAIL passengers who use services operating between Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Worcester and Malvern are being urged to check their journey times later this month amidst a national bi-annual timetable change.

Departure times and frequencies on some routes will change.

While the changes will be minor in most locations, customers are urged to check their journey times before travelling.

Services between Birmingham and Hereford, which operate Monday to Friday, will be standardised. Hourly departure times on the route will be more consistent throughout the day.

The 6.24am service from Worcester Foregate Street to Birmingham New Street will start from Great Malvern.

An additional 7.23am service from Worcester Foregate Street to Birmingham New Street will be introduced.

Additional evening peak services towards Worcester will depart Birmingham New Street at 4.20pm and 6.50pm.

Jonny Wiseman, West Midlands Railway’s customer experience director, said: “Most changes will be the case of a few minutes either way, but those few minutes could be the difference between being on time or missing your train.”
