THERE is a packed programme at Bromsgrove’s Artrix throughout March – from showstopping musicals and iconic tribute nights to brain-boosting comedy and world-class cinema events.
Fans of the Fab Four can go on a Magical Mystery Tour through John, Paul, George and Ringo’s greatest hits when Beatlemania come to the venue next Friday, March 6.
Other tribute acts at Artrix include Nearly Dan – The Spirit and Sound of Steely Dan – on March 7, Tina Live – The Tina Turner Experience – on March 19, Fleetwood Unchained – The
Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Celebration – on March 20 and Fearlessly Taylor – a must for Swifties – on March 21.
In between those acts is The Great British Bake Off Musical from March 12 to 14. The deliciously funny and heartwarming theatrical treat, inspired by the nation’s favourite baking show, boasts catchy songs, lovable characters and plenty of theatrical sparkle.
Families and young performers will shine in Disney Newsies Jr on March 22, bringing the rousing story of young newspaper sellers to life with energy and heart.
Mathematicians looking for mirth can go along to Getting Triggy With It – Matt Parker ‘does the maths’ blending laugh-out-loud comedy mixed with mind-bending maths.
Football fans will not want to miss ‘An Evening with Birmingham City Legends’ on March 18, promising fascinating stories and football nostalgia.
Classical audiences can experience The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins on March 28, a moving and dramatic choral work.
And Alfie Moore brings his hilarious Acopalypse Now show to Artrix on March 26.
There are also cinema screenings of world-class performances and national shows.
National Theatre Live: The Audience is on Monday, March 2, a day later – on Tuesday, March 3, is ROH Live: Giselle, CinemaLive with James Acaster – Cinemagoers Welcome – on March 16 and ROH Live: Siegfried, bringing down the curtain on the month on March 31.
