DROITWICH Spa Civic Society is holding an Illustrated talk of ‘Two Ships in the Night’ tomorrow (Tuesday, November 20), writes Demi Andrews.
Mike Watkins will be giving a PowerPoint presentation on the story of the sinking of two Atlantic ships two years apart.
One of the ships was the ‘Empress of Ireland’ and the other was the Titanic.
The story will explain why we know of one ship and not the other, although the ‘Empress of Ireland’ lost more passengers than the ‘Titanic’.
The talk will be held at 7.30pm at the Old Library Centre, Ombersley Street East and tickets are £3.
