U11s Droitwich footy team crowned tournament winners

TECHNICAL director of Kidderminster Harriers has recently paid a visit to a Droitwich school to congratulate its U11’s boys team on their football tournament win.

Dean Holdsworth, of National League North club Kidderminster Harriers, praised the Witton Middle School team’s efforts after winning the National League Boys Football Tournament.

The competition was hosted on October 24 by Kidderminster Harriers Community Trust in collaboration with the National League Trust (NLT).

A spokesperson for Witton Middle School said: “A big thank you to Dean Holdsworth, who made a surprise appearance at school today to congratulate our U11 football team.”

To secure the trophy, the Witton Middle School boy’s beat St Ambrome Primary on penalties in the final after a hard fought draw in normal time.

The semi final’s of the competition were also decided on penalties, with Franche Primary and Parkside Middle just narrowly missing out on a place in the tournament’s deciding match.
