A MAN has been charged with drug production after 200 cannabis plants were seized in Droitwich yesterday (Wednesday).
Festim Ahmetaj, of Victoria Square in Droitwich, has been charged with cultivating a class B drug – cannabis – and knowingly entering the UK in breach of a deportation order.
The 34-year-old has been remanded to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today (Thursday, April 2).
The Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were joined by officers from West Mercia Police’s Task Force unit and entered the property on Victoria Square in the town where they discovered around 200 cannabis plants.
Around 10 officers swooped in and smashed their way into the premises.
