RESIDENTS are being encouraged to show their love of St Richard’s Hospice at a charity Valentines Day Ball.

The special event, being held in the fairytale setting of the Chateau Impney, is being hosted by Pam Davey, Worcestershire County Council’s chairman, and her consort Alan.

Guests at the black tie event, taking place on February 14, will enjoy a three course meal, music from Session Sixty, fun at the casino and a grand raffle.

Coun Davey said: “The service St Richard’s provides for the local community is invaluable.

“Since the proposal to form the organisation was first mooted, in Droitwich 30 years ago, countless people have been involved in one way or another in its development.

“I am delighted to be able to arrange this event and would urge as many people as possible to join us for a great night out whilst supporting a very worthy cause.”

Alison Parkes, St Richard’s senior fund-raiser, added: “This Valentine’s Ball is set to be a marvellous evening for all the guests and a great way to show their love of the hospice.”

Tickets are £50.
