Volunteers sought for Droitwich's St Richard's Festival

Lorna Morris 23rd Apr, 2018

VOLUNTEERS are being sought by Worcester, Birmingham and Droitwich Canals Society to lend a helping hand at the annual St Richard’s Canal Festival.

The event will be held at Vines Park, in Droitwich, over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, opening from 5pm on May 4 and then from 10am to 11pm from May 5 to 7.

There will be canal boat rides on the ‘Pamela May’, live music from 12pm every day, as well as a wide range of real ale and cider.

Volunteers are needed from May 2 through to May 8 and will be asked to help put everything up and take it down, as well as help sell tickets for the ‘The Great Droitwich Duck Race’ which takes place at 4.30pm on Monday 7.

If you can offer your support then please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Bill Lambert, as soon as possible by email or by phone 07815 986012.
