A WARNING has gone out after a suspected distraction burglary attempt in Droitwich.
The incident happened in Yew Tree Lane on Thursday (December 27) when a man approached a property and asked to read the meter.
The householder checked with their utilities supplier and was told no-one was in the area at that time.
The bogus caller was white, 5ft 6ins tall and in his 50s.
Anyone who had a similar thing happen to them or anyone with any information on the incident should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
