'Wear it Pink' this Sunday to support Bromsgrove's Libby Mae's Little Angels

PEOPLE are being urged to wear pink on Sunday, April 26, to show their support for Libby Mae’s Little Angels and make a donation to the cause.

The charity was started by Bromsgrove couple Charlotte and Richard Sharratt who lost their daughter at just two weeks old and Sunday – the Wear It Pink day – would have been Libby Mae’s seventh birthday.

Since then the couple have been raising cash for neo-natal units throughout the Midlands and have so far collected £350,000.

Last month they launched an ambitious appeal to raise £500,000 to provide state-of-the-art incubators for 12 hospitals across the West Midlands.

As well as people wearing pink Charlotte and Richard’s son Riley will also be doing a sponsored walk, undertaking 26 laps of Ash Drive in Catshill.

He has already raised £570 to help NHS Heroes and neonatal units.

Go to justgiving.com/fundraising/riley-s-26 to boost Riley’s coffers.

Visit justgiving.com/campaign/littleangelsbigappeal to support the incubator appeal and libbymaeslittleangels.com for more on the charity.

Those taking part are urged to upload their photographs to social media with the hashtag #GoPink4Libby
