West Mercia Police appeal for witnesses after lorry hits a pedestrian

WEST Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a lorry hit a pedestrian on Roman Way on July 19.

A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after initially being treated at the scene.

His current condition is unknown.

The incident took place at around 3.30pm, causing several roads on the A38 (Roman Way) to be closed.




West Midlands Air Ambulance was called to take the man to hospital but medics decided to take him by land instead.

PC Paul Bosley said: “To help with out investigation we’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information that could help with our enquiries.”


Officers are hoping that someone who has a dash-cam installed in their car may have been driving past at the time.
