STUDENTS at a school in Droitwich have received an early insight on pathways into the police thanks to an organised careers day.
Youngsters in year 7 at Westacre Middle School had the chance to learn about various roles West Mercia Police has to offer, along with their routes of entry on Monday, March 5.
The pupils also got to try on some of the police kit and partake in scenarios, arresting the ‘naughtiest’ of teachers. The police car was also a big hit with students.
West Mercia Police thanked Briony from Westacre for organising the day and inviting them along, offering children the opportunity to start thinking about their future from an early age.
The force have also encouraged anyone within the community who would like police related events similar to this one or on the topic of crime prevention or engagement to contact them.
