STAFF and users of Droitwich’s Westmead Day Care Centre held a special farewell tea party for dedicated Chris Sketchley who was retiring after 18 years there, writes Amber Reohorn.
Chris, who worked as a day care assistant, said she would miss the staff and clients but had a lot planned for the year ahead.
She intends to make decorative flowers for her daughters wedding cake, take trips in her caravan with her husband David and spend quality with her grandchildren.
Chris’ manager Jacqui Brown said “She is a very special part of Westmead Day Care Centre and we will miss her enormously – especially her smiles, laughter and dancing.”
The home is operated by Sanctuary Care which is celebrating its own 20th anniversary this year with a series of events at their homes and centres across the country.
