AN OARSOME fund-raiser will take place in Droitwich this weekend in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.
Shaun Hooper and Clive Sanders have organised a 24-hour indoor row at the town’s Sanders Fitness at the Gaudet Luce Golf complex from midday on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday, July 27 to 28.
The pair are hoping people will come down during the event and play their part in helping them keep the rowing going.
A target of £2,500 has been set by the organisers and already almost £1,000 has been pledged.
It costs £8.4million per year for St Richard’s to run all of its services but just 14 per cent of it comes from NHS funding.
