A WOMAN was arrested in Droitwich on suspicion of drink-driving on Friday night.
Droitwich Safer Neighbouhood Team (SNT) received reports of a motorist over the limit and pulled over a car.
The woman was breathalysed and blew 68 microgrammes per 100ml of breath at the roadside – almost twice the legal limit which is 35.
Police said the woman was just a five-minute walk from her home but made the decision to drive to the local shop instead of going on foot.
The force added her actions had put lives at risk and added: “Drink driving is a serious offence and can have devastating effects on the wider community, if you fancy a drink please do not be tempted to drive. Its really not worth it.”
