Worcester Bosch serves up fund-raising boost for young Droitwich tennis players

A WELCOME boost was served up for young Droitwich tennis players by Worcester Bosch which donated £1,000 from its ‘Grassroots’ fund.

The cash was presented to head coach Lee Cowan on Saturday, November 11, when the company arranged for food and hot drinks to be served to everyone who had gone along to play tennis on what was a cold and wet morning.

Lee said: “This is an amazing amount of money which will be used to give as many youngsters as possible the opportunity to improve their tennis.

“I cannot thanks Worcester Bosch enough for their generosity.”

Droitwich Tennis Club has made tremendous strides over the last two years to take the sport into the community and now holds tennis sessions in almost every school in the town.

Those classes complement the other drives in the town, including the pending revamp of the Lido Park tennis courts which followed the successful fund-raising campaign and the regular Tennis in the Park sessions.
