Worcestershire dog warden Pip enlightened SPArkles WI members during talk

MEMBERS of Droitwich’s SPArkles WI were given a talk by Worcestershire’s Senior Dog Warden and Animal Welfare Officer Pip Singleton who brought a couple of four legged friends along.

Whitey and Pinto were given a warm welcome by the women.

Pinot’s mum Whitey was found under a bush giving birth to Pinot’s sister who was too big to be born.

A vet got the pup out and Pinto, now aged eight weeks old, followed.

Unfortunately Pinot’s sister died but he and his mum are now both doing well.

Whitey and siblings and parents were found after their owners died close to each other. The dogs had never been outside.

SPArkles President Karen Philpott said: “Pip’s passion shone through and it was so interesting to hear the tales of all the dogs who have been helped and who otherwise may have been put to sleep.

‘The wardens also help people to care for their pets or to rehome them if they can no longer cope with them.”

SPArkles’ members donated blankets, towels, food and treats for the dogs so Pip’ s good work, to rehome and to care for the dogs she collects could continue.
