Worcestershire hospitals staff took on Worcester 10k to raise mental health awareness

Droitwich Editorial 22nd Sep, 2019   0

SEVENTY NHS staff from across the county laced up their running shoes at this year’s Worcester City run to support a nationally recognised local mental health awareness campaign.

Staff from Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust put in the hard yards in the 10k and half marathon runs wearing their bright orange Now We’re Talking shirts.

Now We’re Talking was launched by the Trust last year to highlight the local Healthy Minds service which supports around 50,000 people in Worcestershire experiencing more common mental health issues such as stress and anxiety.

Healthy Minds is provided by the Care NHS Trust, the county’s main provider of mental health services and is available for anyone to access should they feel the need to do so.
