WORK is being carried out at Spring Meadow and Door Step Green in Droitwich.
There are issues with the footpath off Mulberry Tree Hill, near the shopping precinct and Primsland Way.
The existing layout has a steep gradient and the gravel surface has been eroded by rainfall ‘washing back’ which poses risks to pedestrian safety.
The improvements will see it relevelled to make the gradient shallower and a section of sealed tarmac will be laid with brick edged surfacing to enable the water to run off.
Coun Bob Brookes has contributed some of his Worcestershire County Council divisional funds towards the cost of the work.
The boundary fence near the Primsland shopping precinct is also due to be restored with replacement posts and rail fencing.
