A NEW sensory garden will be built at Wychbold First and Nursery School, thanks to funding from Dodderhill Parish Council.
The authority gave the school a £2,500 grant for the area which is ten years old and had become tired looking.
The school’s headteacher Claire Howard said: “I would like to say a big thank you to the parish council.
“The children really love to go into the sensory garden and enjoy all the sounds, smells and textures.
“It provides them with a quiet place at lunchtimes.”
Work is scheduled to start in the autumn and some of the planting will be carried out by staff and the children.
