A WORCESTER working men’s club has been turned into more affordable housing with secure parking.
Rainbow Hills Working Men Club, on Mayfield Road has been turned into a small residential area made up of 22 social housing apartments and is managed by Platform Housing Group.
The project started in October 2022 and was completed this month.
Jim Wilkins, senior land manager at Platform Housing Group said: “We would like to thank all of our partners who played their part in the development of Mayfield Court.
“The site itself was challenging as it stands on a steep slope surrounded by residential properties.
“We are delighted it is now completed and look forward to families moving into these much needed affordable homes in the area.”
The scheme was funded through Voluntary Right to Buy proceeds which involved Worcester City Council agreeing to those funds being used for this development.
