THE LEADER of Wychavon District Council said the area was looking forward to another exciting four years with plenty of innovative new projects on the horizon.
Councillor Bradley Thomas spoke at the unveiling of the authority’s new-look executive board following the local elections.
He said: “We will continue to deliver on our key priorities of people, place and prosperity and be ambitious and efficient in what we deliver.”
Coun Tony Rowley handed over the chairman’s chain to Coun Frances Smith at the annual council meeting with Coun Robbie Raphael voted in as the new vice-chairman.
Coun Richard Morris, who represents Droitwich South East, is the deputy leader and board member for economic growth and Coun Rowley will be in charge of planning, infrastructure and urban design.
Coun Christopher Day will be responsible for housing health and wellbeing, Coun Emma Stokes for environment, recycling and street scene and Coun Rob Adams will be in charge of community engagement, culture and sport.
Elsewhere Coun Martin King will have the responsibility of transformation, efficiency and town centre revitalisation.
