WYCHAVON is the third best place to retire in the country, according to research from Hunters Estate Agents.
The estate agent ranked some of the most popular retirement locations in England, with considerations including transport connections, air quality, crime levels, and average house prices.
Research revealed Wychavon has had a 31.5 per cent increase in the number of people aged 65 and over living in the area over the past decade.
In addition, the average house price is £274,453 and the district also scored high for its good transport networks.
Scarborough secured the top spot in the ranking, with Craven coming in second.
Wyre Forest, Cotswold, Stratford-upon-Avon, Hambleton, Ryedale, Sedgemoor and South Somerset make up the rest of the top 10.
