YOUNGSTERS from St Peter’s C of E Academy were taken back to Ancient Egypt when they got to dress as Pharohs, mummies, queens and goddesses.
The year three pupils have been exploring and learning about the historical era and on October 24 they also took part in Egyptian activities.
Among them were mummifying, creating a cartouche using hieroglyphics and sampling foods of the time, including dates, honey, breads and dips.
Teacher Holly Barnett said “The children’s learning has been brought to life by carrying out fun activities and having the opportunity to try some food.
“The variety of costumes has been fantastic, we’ve had a scarab beetle, archaeologists, a camel and even a River Nile.”
