RUNAWAY leaders Barley Mow whitewashed Rifle No Mans to extend their lead at the top of the Mid-West Premiership to 20 points.

The story very much remains the same at the top of the Droitwich Pool League after the latest round of fixtures, with second-placed Masons All Chalked Up losing some ground despite their emphatic 8-1 victory over The Star & Garter.

A 5-4 win for Never in Salted over Salt ‘n’ Asbo’s was the match of the week, a result which keeps the victors nine points above their fourth-placed rivals.

Fifth-placed Doverdale Arms saw off The Hop Pole in straightforward fashion, winning 7-2, while bottom side The Pillar of Salt won just their third game this season at the expense of The Dovey – who stay ninth.

Despite the triumph, the basement side remain four points adrift at the bottom of the table.
