MOLLY CHARLWOOD once again claimed top prize as she secured gold at the Samurai Green and Under competition at the weekend.
Fighting in the red and yellow category, the Kazoku-Kan Judo Club (Droitwich Spa) member put up a fantastic effort in Kidderminster on Sunday where she asserted her skill and dominance to finish top of the pile.
Once her fights in that category were over, she was selected to participate in the orange and green belt groups where she faced higher graded opposition with more experience.
Despite the task at hand, Charlwood performed well to walk away with the silver medal.
James Worsfold, also fighting in the red and yellow category, faced some stiff competition but managed to secure himself a bronze medal.
Kuba Wojtasik put on a superb effort in the yellow and orange belt category to also claim bronze while Harry Evans, in the orange and green category, came up against more experienced opponents but did well to secure another bronze medal.
The medal haul for Kazuko-Kan was completed when Sian Evans also claimed a bronze medal in the girls orange and green belt group.
Instructor Rich Morrish said: “These kids go out there every time and show what they are made of and each time they surprise themselves.
“The experience they gain from the competitions is so valuable, the medals are just a bonus.
“We couldn’t be prouder of them and the club.”
Kazoku-Kan train every Friday at Physique Fitness on the Berry Hill estate, Droitwich.
